Sweet Tea Potholder

I am excited to be an ambassador for KariAnne at Thistlewood Farms' new fabric line "Sweet Tea" for Hoffman Fabrics. I will be sharing projects with her fabric throughout the summer, and here is my first.

Pattern: Pretty Little Potholder by the amazing Amy Sinibaldi

Isn't the fabric so fresh and pretty? I've always wanted to make this pattern and this was the perfect excuse. I'm in love with the little ruffle!

Now I feel I need to re-think my kitchen colors and get some blue and white dinnerware to match :)

Since that is unrealistic, I'd love to send this to one of you. Leave a comment telling me about your dream kitchen colors and I'll pick a winner on Friday at noon.

Thanks for sending me your pretty fabric KariAnne!

*UPDATE: The giveaway winner is Jennifer Fulton! Please email me at woodberrywayblog@gmail.com with your address. Thanks to all for your comments!

**Another update! This prize has gone unclaimed, so I've donated it to the Tulsa Quilt Guild as a prize at their fall retreat :)

  1. Oh, that's cute! While there are some things I'd upgrade, I really like my kitchen. It's painted a warm Terra cotta color, and it the autumn, the whole room has a glow.

  3. What a perfect little potholder! The fabrics in the line are so fresh! No wonder you're in love with them. I like my kitchen colors although I'd totally upgrade everything if I had the chance. My kitchen is a warm yellow with touches of forest green. I have curtains with bright blue, purple, green and yellow in a Monet print.

  6. I would love a new look in my kitchen, but I'm stuck because of the pale sage green and peach colours in the tiles. I loved it at the time but I will be sticking to neutrals next time. I saw a beautiful kitchen recently, white with light wood and black granite. All the accessories were blue, but so easy to change them in the future for a new look. Perfect.

  7. I love a deep, dusty lavender (or as some would call it, a grayed lavender). It's just so warm and cozy!

  8. Beautiful fabric and pot holder! I used to have a blue and white kitchen - which I loved. I still keep my country ceramic blue and white teapot/pitcher by my kitchen sink as a reminder, of that little renovated kitchen long ago.

  9. Such a cute hot pad, do not think I could ever use it as a hot pad, more of a work of art to be displayed. Hmmmm.....dream kitchen color, a light color so that I could change accents when ever I got tired of the currant colors. Thanks for the chance.

  10. Love this! I have a craftsman-style brown kitchen right now, with some blue and green accents, but dream of updating to an all-white farmhouse-style kitchen. Maybe someday! This fabric line is beautiful - thanks for the chance to win!

  12. I've always been partial to black and red, but the blue and white is such a classic look. Cute potholder. I've seen this pattern by Amy, but I haven't tried it yet.

  13. So glad to find you via the new bloggers. I live in an apt now, no choice of paint colors, but I do like red accents and blue colored glass. HINT: As a newish blogger I struggle with code. I use Text Replacement on my iPad to save the codes I use regularly with a shortcut key. Example: A four letter shortcut for the code of Blossom Heart Quilts life gives me: Blossom Heart Quilts I hope that's helpful to you and others.

  14. I've had my mauve and teal kitchen, with white cabinets, for almost twenty years. I still love the colors because they match my dishes. However, after seeing the blue and white potholder, I may rethink those colors when we add gray granite countertops. Lovely!
