Remember the mockup for this quilt? It's finished and picked up and going to be presented at the wedding dinner tomorrow! It turned out just like we planned, which is always a good thing. I did add a little more solids to the mix, which I really love.
It was quilted by my local longarmer Molly Anderson in "popcorn".
Here is the heart that contains lace from the bride's dress. Her mom sneakily requested some from the dress maker so she could surprise her with this quilt. The other heart is lace from her own dress, which was VERY difficult for me to cut into! I love the sentiment and meaning behind this quilt, I also love that it's in her wedding colors.
Pattern: (12) 12" sawtooth stars, 2" sashing, 3.5" border, heart pattern can be found here.

ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful and a gift that the bride is truly going to love.
ReplyDeleteOh, the pink and navy made me smile as soon as I saw it. My bridesmaids wore navy and carried pink and white roses. This is a very special quilt!

Beautiful quilt - she will love it. I love your color combination.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt, one that will surely be cherished for years to come.
ReplyDeleteJust found your Instagram and website and love both. I note that you make a lot of quilts that require flying geese and am curious as to your favorite way to make the Flying Geese unit.
ReplyDeleteJust wanted you to know however that when trying to Pin from your website (using the Pin on your pictures), I receive the message from Pinterest that it has been blocked because "it might link to inappropriate content". I've seen nothing inappropriate on your site and thought you would be interested in knowing this issue. Hopefully it can be clarified with Pinterest.
I love the quilt! The addition of the heart and printed fabric star centers makes it so fabulous!
