New Precut Quilt Pattern- Happy Thoughts

I am excited to have added another pattern to my shop this week. This will be the Easter/spring quilt at our house and I'm so pleased with how it turned out.

The pattern can be made using precuts- either a Jelly Roll, or Layer Cake, though I cut my own scrappy pastels from my stash. The colors were such a delight to sew together. I straight line quilted this one at home since my bank account doesn't love longarm services as much as I do. It was my first time quilting on my new Juki, and without exaggeration, it took 1/5th of the time it would have taken on my Husqvarna. Man I love that machine. SO FAST!

To be honest, I don't love sewing patterns that have the same block over and over, but the result is well worth it in this case. On the other hand, sometimes I love making quilts that I don't enjoy looking at forever. Funny how that happens! Rare is the quilt that satisfies both for me. Chamomile is one of them, just saying :) I believe Olie and Evie is still selling kits for that one!

The cover quilt fabric is the beautiful Early Bird by Kate Spain for Moda.

One fun thing about this pattern is that it can be used as a memory or signature quilt for wedding receptions, comfort quilts for loved ones going through a hard time, etc. You could have people sign the finished quilt, or even have them write on the center pieces before you sew it together for convenience.

For mine, I used the blocks to frame a few sweet little fussy cuts. I am way into those lately! Most of these are from Aneela Hoey's line "Posy", with a couple from Tasha Noel lines as well.

The backing is from the Playground line by Amy Sinibaldi, and binding is Cotton and Steel Dottie's Cousin.

As usual, I like to have a sale for my blog readers at a pattern release. Use the code SUMMER to get 10% off any pattern through Sunday. Thank you so much for stopping by!
